Refined Bleached Deodorised (RBD) Palm Olein is the liquid fraction obtained by fractionation of palm oil. It is a RBD form of palm oil which is extracted after crushing palm fruit. The process of palm olein is obtained from fractionating refined palm oil to separate liquid part (olein) from solid part (stearin). It is used as cooking oil, as well as frying oil for food industries for snacks and ready-to-eat food. It is also used as a raw material for margarine and shortening. The product is currently marketed to South Asia, Middle East, and Africa.
